It's isolation, very relaxing
We had a double bed but with two single duvets on it???!! Not very romantic!!! Would have been nice to have one kingsize duvet to go with the bed. That's my only complaint though..
Food was good
Didn't fix my broken phone, didn't provide room service, poor concierge service, didn't inform me i was due a discount as part of a wedding party
Excellent location, lovely and friendly staff, rooms clean, over all very good hotel.
the only think is when we came they gave us room on the side where the car park is. The room was small and for the money too expensive. Next day we asked for room on the other side with a lovely view of the mountains. What a difference. Rooms much bigger and most have balcony!!! So if you do stay ask for the rooms with the view of the village/mountains.
Beautiful hotel in a great location. Food was excellent, and waiters helpful and friendly. Restaurant and bar prices good value, despite overpriced room rate.
Beds uncomfortable - hard mattress with springs popping through. Spartan room decor, although public areas ornate. Hotel looks stuck in a communist boss type time warp of the 1960-70s - needs a makeover desperately!
The hotel is pretty. The breakfast is very good. The spa is very nice, particularly the outdoor heated pool and the selection of different types of saunas.
The rooms are old with 70ish, unkept furniture. The bed was rock hard. Very uncomfortable. Lots of pealing paint and wall cracks. Old, worn carpet. The balcony was crumbling with chunks of missing concrete at the corners and rusted railing. I was afraid to even step out onto it. WiFi speeds were very, very slow. I would not stay at this hotel again.
I have to say it was an amazing experience in every single detail. Newly refurbished deluxe spotless room with spacious bathroom was far behind our expectation. My wife liked the most Grand SPA with huge range of relaxing massages. Also sauna's world with unique outdoor open relaxing pool just under the stars was an exceptional experience - mainly after dark when the stars went up. Perfect food and service was truly fantastic. It was always pleasure for us to spend time in any of F&B hotel outlets. Simply amazing stay.
everything was perfect
Stayed in one of the new "Luxury" rooms for a little surcharge. The room was nice and 100% clean, with a little kitchen facility (MW oven, cooking range, little cooler, wash bowl). The Toilet was separated from the bathroom. We've been to this hotel many times and we'll return again. The building is beautiful, the atmosphere of the hotel is unique and the staff is perfect - helpful and professional. The meals were superb, I recommend the half-board consisting of buffet breakfasts with some highlights like unique salad combinations that I never ate and a 3 course dinner (4 course, if I count the salads available as a buffet), where one can choose the main course from 3 options. During our previous stay (spring 2011) the dinner was buffet-served, I asked the waiter about the improvement as I like the served dinner much more (it's now well presented and served fresh) and I was told that the hotel has a new manager, who finds the buffet dinners inappropriate for a 4* hotel - I fully agree. Nice wines are available at good prices - overall, the value for money is excellent here. The Spa area is nice.
Broken water faucet in the bath - setting the water temperature was difficult. The faucet couldn't be replaced during our stay, but we did not ask for another room, since it was still usable and we liked the room otherwise. The outdoor pool was - per our estimate - only about 30 Celsius degrees warm, so useless in autumn (5 degrees outside air temperature).
Dining was very poor, and the fact that they had a wedding there lead to a que for dinner whis is not acceptable in such a hotel...
It's location, their bread
The run down decor, the crowdedness (lots of small children) staff weren't particularly friendly. The spa closed at 9pm, check out was at 10 am not great if you want a relaxing morning.
Hotel staff ware friendly. outside swimming pool was nice location, can see mountains. dinner and breakfast were good!
Located at Mountain Area. It is also quite close to the Cable car to the Top of High Tatra. U can use Spa & sauna. It could be real relax in this hotel.
So far nothing.
The location was super!! We were there for a ski holiday so it was an ideal location and the free shuttle bus to the ski hill was great. The hotel is beautiful, the pool was amazing and the food was fabulous!
Would be nice to have a few more places to sit by the pool.
- the spa area has many interesting features like outside jacuzzi, outside sauna - location - nicely decorated rooms - they were so nice to upgrade our room to a suite
traditional grand hotel style in a ski resort, swimming pool, a suite in the recent extension was very comfortable
